Thanks for the suggestion...but I was looking for a no-cost solution (certainly not a $25 piece of shareware). In any event, I got PDFLab to work after making a minor adjustment, per the developer's instructions. -- iMac (24", 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 320 GB HDD) OS X (10.5.8)

I contacted the developer. He immediately responded, telling me to change a setting in Java Preferences.app, an application I didn't even know I had. That pretty much did the trick (though I haven't run PDFLab through all its paces, so I don't know how well it works overall). -- iMac (24", 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 320 GB HDD) OS X (10.5.8)

Now that *is* good news, Nick. You couldn't post the changes you needed to make to the Java Preferences.app settings to get PDFLab to work, could you? It may help others in the same boat (and me when I get to use it on an Intel Mac). Regards. -- dee

I know it's bad form replying to my own post, but there are a couple of ideas on this page that may help - I haven't tried them yet: <http://www.macduck.com/news/macosxhints/2010/january/25/> -- Sara Cuddler of rats, cats and husband |
