I love riding the bus with my PlayStationPortable device. I can scan for wireless hooks as I ride, and see tens or hundreds (La Jolla) with nearly a third or more open and unsecured. Drive past an area with a lot of restaurants and see several. It is a lot of fun. Nothing malicious as the bus is continually moving, so there is always no chance of actual use. I have a connection setup called "probe". Imagine that. Short of the phone (and the bill) I have had what AppleTard is offering for some time already... Except mine plays movies as well as the songs and has photo albums and a full web browser (almost). When I am at home, it hops on the network (and my PC) just fine, either via the net hooks or USB link. It has a wide screen display that shows movies so it is high quality. The whole thing was $200.00 with another $50 for a GigStick. It plays to headphones, sure... but this also actually has tiny speaker drivers, and plays from the device in stereo. iPod is playing iCatchUp, and they added a feature to one up them... a phone... wait... two features. With the phone comes a monthly bill, I am certain. At least one.
