The fact is that bad design for EMI costs more.

When the CE business came in, PC cases suddenly spouted loads of
copper-beryllium finger strip to ensure continuity between panels for example.
Now that stuff isn't cheap.

You don't see it any more. Cleverer design doesn't require it with interlocking
panels for example.

One of best tips I came across for good EMC design was the use of 'dimples' in
mating metal panels to ensure good ground bonding and the reduction of the slot
antenna effect.

It's not expensive.

Hmmmm, well there's more than few in the UK who would like to see Tony Blair
prosecuted for war crimes.

Channel 4 TV even made the concept into a 2 part drama.
