Thanks a lot :)
I downloaded the DVD and mounted it in directory on my current server.
I added it via Addon Product
I also added the SDK-Pool.

Then re-run the registration stuff.

After all this a zypper up gave a buch of updates.

This is a bit different to openSUSE because of the commercial licence
stuff :)

I have the "It works!" page showing up :)
Have to go to work now, I'll configure it later.

If everything goes right I will never remember how I configured this
new server when I need the next one, in 2016, was it?

P.S. I didn't find mysql-administrator yet...

Thanks again,

Vahis

Improvements ARE fixes, especially in a server.

Upgrade reluctance is so lame.

Have you never made a mirror system to test a proposed OS UG in?

Sheesh.

Are you saying that running SLES is lame compared to openSUSE?

I'm doing exactly that right now.

Do you have answers to any of the questions I asked?
Or was the above one?

Hi
Use the OBS...
http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=SUSE%3ASLE-11&p=1&q=mysql-administrator
Technically it's not supported though. I generally either build my own
on OBS or do a manual download/install via a local repo.

You can always add forums.novell.com to your news reader as well for
the SLES and SLED forums ;)

Upgrade reluctance is NOT lame they they force you to switch from kde3 to
kde4 and drop kde3 support. Kde4 still has not become production
acceptable.

And the Virtual concept is still too limited for me (all of them!).
None that I've tried will allow a virtual OS to access the com port, which
is an absolute requirement for me. I've tested Xen, VirtualBox, and VMWare
(free edition). I will pay for one that works with com ports, provided they
let me know it is in there and will support it. USB will also be handy,
and many restrict that. The com port also needs shared read access so I can
do a Linux program to extract the com port data into logging and alarm
processes.
