I use vmware workstation 6.5 and it has no issues using the com or
USB ports? Would have thought vbox (sun version) would have those
features?
For crossover office, it's just a symlink away in the dosdevices
directory.

com1 -> /dev/ttyS0

I can't say about serial, I don't use it.

I'm so far running the free 1.0.10 VMWare Server.
USB works when before starting the client I command in CLI:

mount -t usbfs usbfs /proc/bus/usb/

I'm looking forward to try Xen because of "real virtualization" that I
know nothing about yet. The term may be wrong, too...
