We often refer to the UK as "England" because that's traditional in our language, and "UK" is sort of clumsy: Englishman sounds nice, but UKian is klutzy. Of course, when we say "England", we do get jumped on by people eager to seize any chance to prove what provincial hicks we are. Funny, when I look at online maps, there's this hunk of dirt labeled "England." John
