If you want to know, check the original. Use "Geneva Convention" with or
without caps in _any_ search engine. The original text is very readily
available. Some 146 nations are signatory to it.

Then compare that to Abu Grade and Guantanamo. The US Supreme Court has
demonstrated that it knows its stuff.
