I would argue that nearly everyone reading this newsgroup knows what a
poster means by O.S.X. On the other hand, he just said everyone, not
everyone here. I also have to wonder what his thinking is in not having
a space preceding the X and having a period following it.

I meant the HARDWARE, not software.

It doesn't matter what software you have if the hardware isn't capable
of burning a DVD.
