Changed my mind and installed the Microsoft Security Essentials, which has updated and completed its first scan without any viruses found. If you send the same PDF file as an attachment from your webmail page, does the message & attachment show up in either inbox? 4. If you do not convert the Word document to a PDF file and attach the DOC file to an email, does the message arrive in either inbox? 5. Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)? 6. Why hasn't WinXP SP3 been installed yet? [Extended Support for WinXP SP2 ends on 10 July 2010. Only have a CDR drive to back up 11gb and just dont have the time at the minute. Not intending on purchasing a external drive. I spent 2hrs with virgin yesterday using their on line chat who accesed my pc. They could not fix it and said they would come back with a solution, which they havent as yet. But after answering your questions i have decided to send the intended message again from outlook - send, goes into sent folder but does not arrive in my inbox or at virgin.
