I never saw the first of your posts? It is not coming up on my
newsreader or via 'get all references'.

But this little tidbit has enabled me at least to play it with VLC
without needing to put the CD in, so thanks. I did not see anything
called Advanced Open File but I still was able to open the movie, so it
was a clue, thanks.

Next I need to know what is cheapest thing to buy to convert the 275MB
vob file to mpeg-2. Will the Apple playback component be sufficient to
do the job? I get confused because it is not playback for me that is
wanted, it is to convert to mpeg-2. I want a "Convert to MPEG2 from
anything component"! <g>

This is what I wrote:

I wouldn't use MPEG2 -- flv is the standard these days.

Perhaps you placed the humongous prick in your kill file, where he
undoubtedly belongs.

Ah, JR, always good to hear from you. Being killfiled doesn't affect
_me_.

Kill a cop for christ, JR.
