Look, I did not come here to get involved in your fights and non-Mac concerns. I would have preferred to be just talking Mac and non personal non-political issues these days here (I have found more appropriate outlets to display the raving lunatic psycho jack rabbit side of my nature) and JR suddenly gets some sort of impulse to jump on me because I am even talking to Oates. Most unfair. Read my posts and then read his in this particular matter. If you have half a brain and half a decent heart you will see the process of me being dragged into something a bit nasty not of my making. At least Warren Oates sometimes provides helpful advice to me. There are ugly things in national psyches that provoke some people to exaggerate a bit to counter the grotesque nature of some of the unfortunate elements in these psyches. You are a simple man, JV, as is JR, when you come off technical matters and you probably have no idea about these things. I see in WO things you would likely not even begin to see. All you see is what you are gripped by your national psych or whatever upbringing to see. Perhaps you and JR have never been out of your little villages, I don't know? Oates has lived in Hong Kong for Christ's sake! He is a man of the world with wide interests and knowledge. Show more respect towards him. Send him a bottle of good cognac (never mind if you are teetotallers yourselves, be broad minded). Want to talk about national psychology? You probably think I think Australians are wonderful balanced folk with all the right attitudes. But I don't think this at all. I don't have illusions about the bad parts of national attitudes (as measured by trends). -- dorayme

And Coburg, Ontario. _Good_ cognac. -- Tullamore Don't
