That is very interesting, in the sense that I've never picked up this NG
or the Excel one directly from a MSnews server, but always received
it/them from news.eternal-september.org

While these newsgroups will probably live on via news.eternal-september.org,
the volume of posts to them will almost certainly diminish significantly as
posts which appeared in the newsgroups hosted on msnews.microsoft.com as a
result of their having been posted via the microsoft communities web
interface will no longer appear. That would be the case for all posts that
appear as being from discussions(a)microsoft.com

I have tried to download the bridge but although the download page shows a
zip file, I only get 'download.dlm' which will not open! (I am not clicking
on the 'download single file').
