Toshiba 27" Tv pix too tall & not wide enough.
This is a common failure, but I can't recall the location of parts that go bad. A small zener goes bad, but which one? Can't locate any bad diodes, D603 is ok, PCB isn't burnt like other similar models with the exact same problem. Pix is too tall, not wide enough, & has tearing througout, & piecrusting on the sides... 13 Nov 2008 10:58

MITSUBISHI VS-45VA1 - Rear_Projection TV
A challenge indeed...... What's known good: Each of the three projectors (red, green, blue) are fully operable and in focus. Audio is unaffected and functions well. The symptom is akin to the effect viewed as a partial signal block from HBO in the late 1970's. where the picture shows up on screen with a wavy ... 13 Oct 2008 23:50
RCA TV model 27V412T, ch M134C relocating Mute Icon
Hi, I am a TV repairman. I own an RCA TV model 27V412T, chassis M134C. I have Photofact 5234 SM for this TV chassis. I would like, if possible, to relocate (or have it disappear) the mute icon on the screen when I press the mute button. Why? When I am looking at "On Demand" program/movie listings,... 11 Oct 2008 19:44
JVC XP-A1000BK hall synthesizer
This unit is more than 20 years old, and has not gotten as much use as I would have liked, for reasons I won't go into. Several years ago, when I turned it on after a long period of disuse, the VF display was scrambled and the unit didn't work. I let it "cook" for a day, and the (apparently) malformed cap that wa... 5 Oct 2008 13:15

Samsung 204BW LCD Power Board Problem
I'm trying to repair a Samsung 204BW 20" LCD monitor. The blue power LED just flashes quickly when power is applied, it won't turn on. Upon further inspection, there appear to be some electrolytics bulging on the power supply board (C111, C112, C114). Resistor R113 appears to have sustained damage as well, but I ... 9 Oct 2008 00:14
