If you're inclined toward Epson, the Epson Perfection V500 Photo is in
the same class as the Canon and has drivers compatible with Windows 7
64-bit.

Thanks, guys, for the suggestions. I think, I will be able to solve my
problem now. I installed a VirtualBox and Windows XP in it. So, presumably
I'll be able to run my old scanner in it. Going to test it soon.
