XP Pro convinced me to go back to windoze because software companies wrote better software for XP. Windows didn't convince me to go back to windows. Actually WIN2K was my fav windows, except it had to be reinstalled every 6 months on my old Pentium 2's and 3's to keep it clean. Xandros offered me great USB support, and worked on a Pentium 2 laptop, and pent 3 500 desktop. It got the most of my sound cards, and the most out of my old scsi scanners. I was able to fax with my desktop with ease with Xandros. For all the stability that win2k offered, and it was incredibly stable, it was slow and had very poor USB support. Xandros had better graphics and toys (I used KDE), and seemed to get better speed from my 1 meg modem and no driver issues. I also played with the first edition of ubuntu and was pleased. mephis was the worst. SUSE 9.2 was horrible to install but good to run. Nowadays I'm a very happy Win7 64 bit user. I love 64bit Photoshop for windows too.
