I tried it, but could not figure out how to make the necessary changes, apparently, since it didn't work for me. Drat! -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo

Are you certain that the option to enable file sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP is enabled (checked) on the G4's File Sharing Control Panel? I have no problem connecting from my intel iMac running 10.6.3 to my PPC4400 running Mc OS 9.1 However, I cannot connect from the PPC4400 to the iMac. -- Tom Stiller PGP fingerprint = 5108 DDB2 9761 EDE5 E7E3 7BDA 71ED 6496 99C0 C7CF

It used to work both ways as long as I didn't try to move too much at once. Trying again. It's checked now, but I still have no communication. There must be a step I'm missing somewhere. Possibly because the only way I know to initiate the contact is from the G4. I've tried changing "file sharing" on the Intel laptop, but that has no effect either. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo |
