I had reached such a stage of depression yesterday that my memory is fuzzy in places, but I believe it's a combination of that and clashing OS's. The ethernet connection is between the G4 and Airport Extreme. But the G4 is running OS 9.2.2. The G4 can access ALL my ancient media from floppies and ZIPs to some odd DVDs too thick for the laptop that I used to use for backup, but it can't burn disks. I've been putting off running through all that stuff to see what I really want to save ever since I bought this MacBook Pro a while back. There are scattered foto files and some clumps of documents I don't want to lose, and the G4 is a venerable 10 years old this month. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo

You have't told us much at all about the hardware. All we know currently is it's a G4. If we knew the exact model, how much RAM, what PCI cards are installed, and all the other details about it, you'd probably be receiving better help by now. -- Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me.
