I am almost dyscalculic. If it is free with the 45 plan, over the 35 plan on 18 months with a plan change allowed at 9 months, it would cost 90 more. So if the phone is more than 90 (it is, I got it), go for the 45 plan. -- Woody

So if the phone > is more than 90 (it is, I got it), go for the 45 plan. Does this apply for 24 month contracts? If I went for 35/24m plan now, it would be 89 quid for the phone. Oh, I see what you're saying - if you downgrade your plan from a 45 to a 35 after 9 months, you will have got the phone for free. I need to have these things explained as if to a child. I never looked into 24 month contracts - I had enough difficulty with the 18 month ones. > If I went for 35/24m plan now, it would be 89 quid for the phone. > > Oh, I see what you're saying - if you downgrade your plan from a 45 to a > 35 after 9 months, you will have got the phone for free. OK, having looked at o2s website, and assuming you mean the 24 month contract and the 16G iPhone, it is free on 45 and 89 on 35. And yes, you can lower your tarrif after 9 months. So it is 89, so there is no saving by switching, it is the same price having the 45 contract for 9 months and switching as the 35 and not. But you do get it for free up front, and 600 minutes more for the first 9 months. On the other hand you have to remember to change it. I probably wouldn't do that as I would just forget and it would cost me more. > > I need to have these things explained as if to a child. > > I really need a good old fashioned husband. Oh yes, a good bit of beating never hurt anyone! Or do you not mean that old fashioned? -- Woody
