In the case of an eternal universe, 'fantastical' is
not the most appropriate word, but 'self-consistent'.
Eternal universe (i.e. without beginning and without
an end) is the reason of its own existence, it didn't
need a creator or any Big Bang beginning whatsoever.

So you want to discuss religion, rather than Science? The second law
of thermodynamics is inconsistent with an eternal Universe.

Just a suspension of the laws of "eternal" physics in our case, which
puts us in a special place again.

Followup set to a more suitable newsgroup.

The universe is, or the local universe is in, a jet stream.

MPC got tired of replying to himself and is in need of some attention.
He won't talk to Phil Bouchard about it, either.

The universe is not expanding. It is, or the local universe is in, a
jet stream.
