Mr Bottoms has no grasp of software engineering principles in general or
operating systems in particular. His badly quoted, out of context, posts
demonstrate that he is further out of his depth than BP and is
responsible for a far greater level of pollution than any oil company.

Gordon

Gordon, you are absolutely right about BB on OS. He's like a
person who can drive but knows nothing under the hoot. He seems
to think the computing world is made up of Windows and PC's, the
rest is insignificant. He also thinks being able to write a few client
side Web pages he is actually a computing guru. I bet you he
doesn't even know the differences between Unix and Linux,
Windows and X Window System, etc.

Ah, I didn't realize how badly you misunderstood the trivial point your
blogger was attempting to make.

If you believe that Google is causing a "shakeout" in the GNU/Linux
distro space, your insane predictions should become even more
ridiculous and entertaining. Which GNU/Linux companies do you think
will go under first due to their alleged inability to compete with iPad
things?

That's like saying all you need to be a great photographer, is to know how
to use a camera.
