I think I got a student discount from Dabs, and went over to collect it, saving on P&P if memory serves. Rather nice indeed, and battery life modern machines would kill for (many weeks of active use on 8 AA Ni-CD's). But it got stolen over the summer holidays when my folks got burgled. The insurance paid for the LCIII. Excellent keyboard, if memory serves. -- James Dore New College IT Officer james.dore(a)new / it-support(a)new

I have plans that involve pipecleaners, but I suspect a tightly folded sheet of paper will work as well. I'll get around to it one of these days. A Mac Portable is slightly nicer to use than a Mac Plus, and pretty much absolutely the same speed, being a Plus shoved into a portable case by, erm, Sony IIRC (design, that is). I've got one of each - not that the Portable has a working HDD or working battery pack at the moment (the HDD is a tricky one to replace).
