The other minor irritation is that I can't set a sig in MacSOUP. Sigsep yes. Actual sig, no. I've done it before but it was so long ago that I've forgotten how. And the final irritation is Keyboard Maestro. I'm using v.1.2.3 which although ancient runs well in 10.5.8, and is simple. Newer versions are available, but they don't look so simple. I suppose I will have to upgrade. It's not the money I mind so much as the complication. -- Peter

I've used Migration Assistant to go from PPC to Intel. Ah, but via Time Machine and not the system disk... -- Chris

I've migrated from PPC to Intel using the system disk. Firewire cable. Was a slight fankle because one computer had a Firewire 400 port and the other Firewire 800 port, so had to get an adaptor. And it was 10.4 to 10.5. But it worked. Viv
