From: Lynn W on 27 Dec 2009 17:52 I have both a .wmv and .avi file and I would like to get them onto my iPhone, is there any way to do this? I have tried to 'drag' them into iTunes but they won't stay there. Any ideas? Lynn

The only disappointing bit is that one of them was one that was using Flip 4 Mac to view the wmv file and on exporting it has put a watermark on it for Flip 4 Mac. Lynn

I've just tried it using Handbrake (Versions 0.9.3 and 0.9.4) and a selection of WMV and AVI files. It works fine for me using H264 encoding (the default). I suspect that you need to install Perian in order to enable Handbrake to decode the WMV file. FWIW, the encoding reduced the size of the WMV file from 58Mb to 30Mb which seems worthwhile if you're getting it onto an iPod.
