Hmm.

Just had a look:

iCab v4.7 (latest) works very well with Google[1]. Just not the
particular obsolete version that Adrian's using on his pre OS X Macs.

[1] Faster results return than Safari 4.0.5 or Firefox 3.6, when tested
here.
