They can do it exactly this way with the iPad (and the iPhone), because
Mail and Safari *do* run in the background, constantly.

But I agree that more of multitasking and app-switching is missing from
the iPad. Yet.

only 583 respondents and a self selected survey. it's not statistically
valid. changewave sampled 4200.

I am not about to go searching the web to show nospam is wrong. One
example is sufficient. I posted 3 articles about the lack of multitasking.

YOUR WORDS: "it hasn't bothered anyone on the iphone". I immediately
found an example proving you wrong. If you wanted to qualify "hasn't
bothered anyone", you should have.
