One of these days, Apple's going to have to decide what it wants to do -
it can't carry on behaving as arbitrarily as it has been without some
sort of trouble turning up big time, not given the way it's going about
things.

I meant that /I'm/ losing the plot - the original question was about sync and
I was posting about transfer. No insults hurled!

You have more clues to go on than when you started, though. The path of
the file they're written to is probably worth plugging into Google, for
instance.

Outside Usenet, the same principle applies. It's just that on Usenet,
the only context we've got is `the text'. That's /it/.
