That case was purchased shortly after the liquid bomber scare. European
flights were requiring all luggage to be checked. I like red but I also
wanted something that was bright and would stand out. I also purchased 2
bright "construction cone orange" pelican cases for the camera and kit.
In all the years of flying, I've never once found any airport where the
baggage claim was checked against the claim check issued at check-in. I
figured the bright colors would make it easier to spot in the airport if
the bags started moving without having me in tow. ;)

Ha. An alcoholic is just someone that you dislike who drinks as much as
you do.

Because Purina Goat Chow cost more than $15 a day, not to mention the tips
to Housekeeping for the extra cleanup.

To be frank (not THAT Frank), maybe he should build that little extra
expense into his fee(s) that he charges to whomever he provides the
services?

David:

Thank you for your always excellent advice (no sarcasm).

I was staying at a Doubletree in Minneapolis this past weekend, and had
my iPad with me and no laptop. The hotel had free WiFi in the lobby and
wired ethernet in the room. Since I had only the iPad, which does not
have an ethernet port, I couldn't use my iPad in my room, but had to go
to the lobby to connect to the internet.

So I take it that if I had had an Airport Express, I could have plugged
it into the room ethernet and used the iPad in my room? Correct?

Does the Airport Express need any configuration or setup in that
scenario, or does it work out-of-the box when you plug it in?

Thanks.
