Ever since I started using MacOS X, I've found that copy-paste does not
work reliably.

Does anyone know why it is that sometimes, activating the copy command
results in `Nothing happening'? - so that the paste command gives
whatever was *last* in the paste buffer?

Repeating the copy command often results in `it works now' - although
not always the first time.

Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it and it's been afflicting me
from 10.1 to 10.6 and all versions between.

.... and what can be done to solve the problem?

Rowland.

I simply don't see what you are reporting here- and I frequently copy
text or urls.

How are you doing it? Highlight and Cmd-c? Then Cmd-v to paste, of
course.

Or are you using the Finder->Edit->copy menu command. I can't say about
that, because I always use the keys.

Of course, Peter, of course.

I knew it always worked perfectly for *YOU*, things always do.

You never meet the problems that afflict everyone else.

What was that meant to be? Sarcasm? Because it's just bullshit. You
assume that because you don't see a problem it affects 'everybody else'.
The point is that it doesn't. If it did, you'd have heard of it long
ago.

I'm just reporting what I see, myself.

Maaybe you have a problem?

Ah well, spot the redundant 'don't'.

The comment stands.
