Well _I've_ never met this problem either. Peter's qustion about how you activate the copy was a good one. It's a shame you couldn't see that. FWIW I've found the File->Edit->Copy method always works. Problem between user and keyboard. I've had no such problem, but I have known people to have the problem you describe if (a) they think they have pressed Command-C and they have not done so or (b) they are forgetful. Tirade of abuse expected.

Ah yes. Perhaps, a freak atmospheric disturbance that created a microzone of intensely high pressure above the keyboard, preventing its being pressed. Or possibly an incorrectly-polarised-tooth situation got out of control, forcing the user and keyboard away from each other. > I've had no such problem They are indeed very rare. I too have sometimes had the problem Rowland describes, when using the keyboard: the copy buffer occasionally doesn't have what I'd expect to find in it. It's hard to say why. I assume that it's because of a miss-press, but there have been times when I was certain that I performed the copy operation without error. Daniele

I have had it, but it happens so infrequently it gets put down as 'one of those things' > ... and what can be done to solve the problem? I have never heard of a user fix, but then I haven't gone looking either. -- Woody |
