The only time I've spent flying when I wasn't terrified were the occasions I got to go up front. The views are pretty spectacular too - I forget where were going to or from, but I was in the pointy bit once over Vienna and the sun was out and the Danube was down there looking lovely. But sometimes you do post in a way consistent with being one. The fact you chose to respond in a rational and humourous way suggests you have some control over your reactions. The fact that Rowland responds with hissing and snarling even to Andy Hewitt, probably the most affable chap ever to have posted here, suggests he has no control over his reactions. Press the button marked "Disagree" and out comes "hurling abuse... shitty behaviour... etc etc". -- Pd

He's a bit like the opposite of those buttons on Facebook where you have the wonderfully limited choice of `Like' or `Comment', except Rowland's choices are `Dislike' or `Rant'. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `Zombies are defined by behavior and can be "explained" by many handy shortcuts: the supernatural, radiation, a virus, space visitors, secret weapons, a Harvard education and so on.' -- Roger Ebert |
