While there is in-place defragmentation code in the JFS utilities, this is code held over from the OS... 7 Jun 2010 17:43

Should squid RAM management be left to the kernel or configured explicitly?
Howdie, fellow Debianites! Looking for some input on the following dilemma: I'm running a small home-LAN squid3 server with 1 GB disk cache and trying to optimize its performance. The Lenny machine running it has 2.5 Gigs of RAM, of which more than 1.5 Gigs is being used as cache (as shown by 'free -m'). D... 8 Jun 2010 18:21

A few minor issues in Squeeze with Gnome
I just migrated my new workstation from Lenny to Squeeze (the workstation is all relatively new hardware, so Lenny was just a bit too old to have correct drivers for everything). Most things are working fine, but I have a couple of minor questions. 1. In Nautilus, I can't figure out how to make the navigation b... 6 Jun 2010 12:42
