I think the only thing I'd miss - and I'd miss it badly enough to not
want to buy the next iPhone until it's jailbroken - is LockInfo, which
puts various bits of info on your lockscreen:

In the unlikely event Apple provide something like this, I might be
happy not to jailbreak. Actually, no; I also want to scrobble music as I
play, using Scrobbl.

I don't think I'll be buying until it's jailbroken...

Oh that looks good. Not the sort of thing I need, but I agree that if
you did need that it would be hard to lose.

How can you not need it? Automatically block calls from unknown numbers, or
calls from numbers with less than <n> digits. Block all calls but
automatically reply with a text for times when you mustn't be disturbed...

It's the most used app on my phone.

The thing I really want (and I don't know why neither Apple nor a jailbreaker
has provided it) is a means to access a note-taker *from the lockscreen*. At
the moment Apple's voice memo isn't bad, but it takes far too many key
presses to activate it to take a quick note.

I can access iPod from the lockscreen, so why not Voice Memo?

I only very rarely get phone calls from people I dont know (ie, less
than one a month) so it is not a problem. The only time when I should
not be disturbed is when I am sleeping, in which case the phone is
downstairs so I wouldn't hear it anyway.
