You may find you get better results if you connect the dongle via
a short USB extension cable. That way the dongle is out of range
of the interference generated by the computer.

I've tried that, Dave. The 6120c gets me connected in areas where
a signal is too weak for a dongle.

That's the only reason why a Skype S2 is probably not the best solution
in this case, problems with Win7 compatibility.
Likely to be a problem with a lot of Chinese HSDPA modem phones
and USB dongles, the modem manager software often isn't Win7 compatible

and otherwise can be Bluetooth connected and placed up high.

Me two, but now i use a cheap Skype S2 instead of the 6120c
and use the 6120c just for calls instead.
