Huh? The what?

Bear in mind that for the last 16 years I have been 100% Mac at home
and work. I have hardly ever used a PC in all that time. So to say I'm
unfamiliar with the Windows way of doing things is an understatement.
And now I've been thrown in at the deep end, and while some of my
dislike is due to sheer unfamiliarity, there is *so much* about it
that is counter-intuitive.

It's a new interface design they're using for modern versions of Office.

Looks a bit like this:

It's very much a 'love it or loath it' type thing. I'm firmly in the 'loath
it' camp.

Yup, that'll do me too - as long as the bloody school doesn't upgrade to
Office '10 too soon.

Yeah, it's one of those things that just didn't need fixing, IMHO.

Oh, *that*. Yes, hate it, hate it, hate bit. There is so much stuff
crammed into there, and there are so many more options under all the
other tabs, and it's only a bloody word processing app, FFS.
