I found the german version and it can be downloaded, but it cannot be used without installing the latest microsoft media player. I don't want to install the ms mediaplayer so I cannot test this radio program. But it looks good, judging from the reviews and screenshots. http://www.free-codecs.com/screenshots/XstreamRadio_screenshots.htm Available here: http://www.xstreamradio.nl/ click the german or dutch flag, the english gives you the error msg, not available. To download german version, click the button marked download for the version of ms mediaplayer you have, or intend to install. The program refuses to run unless you have installed ms mediaplayer. -- Roger J.

While trying to download Xstream I found another radio program here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/phonostar_Player.htm I installed and tried it, I have it running while writing actually. It installs and works without problems. It has a bunch of german radio stations, and a bunch of country music stations mainly from USA. So if you are interested in german radio channels OR interested in country music in english, this is a good program. It has recording and works very well, every radio channel I have tried in it is on the air and works, and I have tried lots of channels. Well made and works well, but the number or radio channels a bit limited compared to Screamer or Winamp shoutcast system. Only one skin available at the moment, boring white style, but works well. I'll keep it installed, because I like both german radio stations and country music in english, it's a good complement to Screamer and Winamp. Somehow it feels like this program is of a higher quality level, only radio channels that really work are included, and the list of channels is autoupdated, no dropouts or disturbances are heard. -- Roger J. |
