The first is that you stubbornly refuse to not top post even though you should know by now (you've certainly been apprised often enough) that bottom posting and in-line posting are our customs. That's akin to refusing to take your shoes off when you're invited into a Japanese home, and shows how rude and badly bred you are. The second is that you don't seem to be here to help anyone, technically, but rather to play cutesy games in order to convince everyone how smart a "mechanic" (your words) in an electronics newsgroup can be. I could go on, but I think the above shows that you consider yourself to be so inferior to everyone here that you employ your annoying tactics just to elicit responses which will prove, to you, that you're at least worthy of recognition. --- >They use top posting as an excuse avoid facts they can't refute. --- No. Top posting is one issue, your inability to understand the refutation is quite another. Understand? Interesting, and in the same vein, is that _you_ plonk in order to avoid facts you can't refute. That is, you don't really plonk, you just hide behind it like a total coward. -- John Fields Professional Circuit Designer

Jim does have a problem with reality. Amongst the empties in the basement that I've not yet got around to depositing in the bottle bank are a bottle labelled Shaw Smith Adelaide Hills 2003 Chardonnay . M3 Vineyard, and another from the Ashton Hills Vineyard - a 1999 Australian Riesling. http://www.winediva.com.au/reviews/shawsmith-2003.asp http://www.winehouse.com.au/ShowWines.asp?pID=13271 The Ashton Hills Riesling isn't as good as the Grosset Polish Hill Riesling which we've also got in the cellar but we tend to save that for perceptive visitors. Dutch residents should look out New World Wineries in Nijswiller, who import Australian wines from the smaller vineyards, mainly for the (top) restaurant trade, but they will sell mixed cases to individuals. The cellar also contains a few empty bottle that used to contain what Jim would probably describe as French swill - nobody with any appreciation of wine would describe a Margaux or a Premier Cru Chablis as "swill" but you have to understand that Jim is a one-eyed and one-nosed nationalist whose opinions shouldn't be taken too seriously. The "spelling error" was in fact a typo - I typed "yoiur" where I (obviously) intended "your". The mechanism is obvious enough - the "i" key lies between o and u on the keyboard - and the error is transparent enough that I didn't notice it at the time or when replying to Michael Terrell's post. That you find this to be the peak of comedy says something about the extent of the brain degeneration that you've already suffered. I've checked the threading, and I seem to have got it right - your claim that I was "thinking that some else had posted the error" seems to be another manifestation of your failing understanding. -- Bill Sloman, Nijmegen
