Whome; I'm no security expert but: FFox's "private browsing" only tries to keep evidence of surfing off /your/ computer. That way, if your sister's kids borrow your computer to look up info on "Saturn's Rings," they won't accidentally see your search history for "dominatrix nipple rings." IOW, it erases cookies & suspends history... that kind of stuff. Sandboxie, as the name implies, attempts to isolate the effects of surfing such that malware, etc can't impact your system. Sorry if this isn't a great explanation but, I hope you see there's a big difference between the two. best, -- -Craig

Who said you could use the web anonymously? If you use Tor or whatever, there is an IP address at each end. There is no such thing as anonynous web usage. |
