Gosh, thanks, here I thought I was using it! Silly me.

More seriously, the answer is that both are in wide use on Macs. Some folks use one or the other (or other apps), and some find they have use for both. My preference, perhaps 19 out of 20 times, is Firefox (with AdBlock and FlashBlock). But there are just some times where Safari simply works when Firefox doesn't. So I keep both and if the page I'm on fails to behave correctly in FF, I use Safari. I've used other browsers, Omniweb, for example, but inevitably I end up back in Firefox. They're free. There's no reason not to try them out and find what works for you. If you have a specific concern, that's probably the better time to ask your question as it relates to that particular concern. -- Plain Bread alone for e-mail, thanks. The rest gets trashed. There is an alpha (or maybe pre-alpha) 1Password extension for Chrome beta. It only does password filling (no saving), but it is usable. It doesn't yet do enough to make me think about using Chrome as my primary browser, but does make Chrome (beta) worth playing with. -j -- Jeffrey Goldberg http://goldmark.org/jeff/ I rarely read HTML or poorly quoting posts Reply-To address is valid
