Safari 4 is fine for just general, everyday browsing. It's pretty much
what I use all the time. Firefox is nice if you want additional
features that can be covered by extensions, such as more extensive
ad-blocking, custom CSS, etc.

If you use the Web for nothing more than browsing and webmail, you're
probably just fine using Safari 4.
