But Guderain was sacked from his position as Wehrmacht COS, by Hitler on
28 March 1945 after the two of them got into a pissing match over a
failed counter attack.

Now, we should probably research just how many officers were executed
for failure on the battlefield or just for disagreeing with Da Fuhrer. I
wish I had to time to research this, alas, I do not.
