Trend Worry-Free Slow Performance Solved
We have Trend installed at quite a few client sites. Here's what we discovered. WFBS & WFBSA 6.x does use up quite a bit of the server resources on those CPU's that are below the Core 2 Duo level. Additionally, running the server with RAM on the small side versus a decent amount of physical RAM will not serve 6.x ac... 17 Dec 2009 12:38
Does KB973917 take out IIS6?
There seems to be no talk of it here, so I'm hoping not, but this update can cause a pretty nasty problem on Server 2003 anyway: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2009746 http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsupdate/browse_thread/thread/990d3843d3480aa5/39c509539f63cd15 I'd much sooner uninstall i... 17 Dec 2009 14:51

SBS2003 to SBS2008, preparation. SP1 install errors
I'm doing a dummy run of the migration. I'm using duplicate in all respects apart from a different NIC, slightly smaller partitions. Looking for advice on how best to handle the following situation: One of the office computers will be moved to a telecommuter's home, and we need it to act as if it's still part of the LAN. There's no budget. Do we use VPN or RWW? I know that RWW is much better than VPN; but, without a computer to remote ... 12 Dec 2009 12:25
