'Jailbreak' seems to me to have a connotation of someone digging into the innards of a device and modifying them so that the device can be used or operated in ways that were not intended (or were even explicitly disabled) by the designer or manufacturer of the device. 'DRM' on the other hand I'm guessing is a bit more narrowly defined term of art in the legal and media worlds, referring to the restrictions that vendors of media products attempt to enforce on their products, the IP legislation that lies behind these restrictions, and the technology that's involved, both in the media products and their players, to enforce these restrictions.
