the display is what uses up the power. with the screen off it can play
audio for 140 hours. let's see your netbook do *that*.

The ipAd is optimized to run x.264 content. It has hardware support for
this and this ends up using a lot less power. Movies with other
compression techniques end up using a lot more power on the iPad.

Seems there's an average of on a day being dropped on eBay. I surmise
they're from people who would rather use fingers than stylus. On the
other hand, they seem to be selling at much higher prices than I expected.
