Yep, as per the others, for the 3GS go for it. For the 3G owners I'd
stick to OS3.1, it made my 3G so laggy I've just recieved a 3GS this
morning.

I'm starting to see a few reports around the 'Net (and from SWMBO) that
3GSs have poorer battery life after installing iOS4. Anyone else seeing
this?

I agree I hate how my iPhone 3G runs now. I think Apple should have advised
3G owners not to install especially as you can't revert it, they've managed
to downgrade my iPhone!

That could be related to so called multi tasking. If you leave certain
apps running in the background I would think battery life will suffer.
I haven't noticed any deterioration. The only app I have that eats the
battery is CoPilotLive, but that has issues with IOS4 relating to the
safety camera database which is easy to overcome.

Seems the same here. Not better, unfortunately!
