Getting a bit ahead of yourself there. Apple will release a 4.0.1 soon
(bug fixes, security features, perhaps some minor tweaks but no
significant changes).

If there is a 4.1, it will include more significant improvements,
perhaps some changes in behaviour. Judging from past versions, that
isn't likely before September, possibly coinciding with the release of
iOS 4 for the iPad (bringing the two product lines into feature parity
and their versions in sync).

There's likely to be an update that knows about the new iPod Touches
expected in September. That may or may not be the update that also
knows about iPads.

Well, one possible reason has been found - she'd set her autolock to
'never'.

That would do it.

Do you think there is any chance of them doing something that allows 3G
users to revert back to OS3 to give them back their phone how it used to be!
