between mobile friendly sites (which don't have flash) and native apps,
there's very little need.

Why apart from the misuse of it? I have seen some nice things
from established movie directors, nothing wrong with that! Flash
is compact, and it is highly developed and almost everyone has
the read version (compare that with QT if you like)

Ah, see, I understand the iPhone, but you're just another zealot. Flash
isn't mentioned in the Bible.

When I was a lad (WIWAL), I was housed with these "Church of Christ"
morons; they didn't have musical instruments in their church services
because it "wasn't mentioned in the Bible" but they drove Chevrolets and
crapped into flush toilets and kept their extensive savings in the Bank
of Montreal, none of which stands out as being "mentioned in the Bible."

Ah well. I use Flash, it's fun, it's useful, and it will eventually find
its way onto the iPad.

It is a security nightmare.

Its frequent use on the web where HTML should be makes sites that have
severe accessibility problems, don't index properly, "text" is
unselectable, ...

Here's a partial list

Well, I classify these things, in this already dangerous world,
as misuse... The world would be a worse place without beer. Very
few beers are really good, and very much (mostly low quality) are
drunk with terrible consequences... Maybe you hate Flash in the
way a socially conscious person might hate beer?
