Windows 7's `Show Desktop' thing is also amazingly ill-conceived. Basically it's a small, blank rectangle at the very far right of the Taskbar. Clearly this has been extremely popular with users, given how most of the Google hits for `Windows 7 show desktop' are about how to get the old `Show Desktop' button back into the Taskbar[1]. b.
