Ok ta.

That was a very long time ago the yes?

Makes sense.

Like I said, often very basic stuff. ;-)

I guess we all get frightened about stuff we don't understand <g>. I
can comment on OSX because I do use it and would offer help to anyone
with it (as long as it was basic etc). Same with Linux (all be it to a
much lower lever).

I was just trying to help someone with a Internet problem. It was a
new Virginmedia install and they had a W7 netbook. Not knowing W7
didn't stop me sorting them out. ;-)

What I couldn't help him with though was how to see the stocks and
shares like he used to be able to do (On BBC2 apparently) pre VM cable
TV?

Can't be certain what you mean, but try looking at this:

<http://www.ceefax.tv/>

Not a lot of teletext on Virgin cable.

No, you didn't misread.
Apple.com -does- state that you need 10.5.8 minimum.

And 10.4.11 will probably do as well.

It really would be nice if you could view
your latest pics on the iPad.
Guess it won't work out of the box,

But Snow Leopard is 10.6, Jan. Are you saying that 10.5.8 won't run on a
PPC machine? Because that sounds wrong to me. And so you can support an
iPad with a PPC Mac. As Graeme says, he *did* misread the specs.

10.5.8 here on a G4 Powerbook...
