About your converter question awhile back.. You need a topology that does up and down conversion.. I do know the Cuk topo does up and down conversion. But I can't say much about the feedback for that topo. I've only done some research in the stability of Cuk down converters. -- D from BC British Columbia
From: D from BC on 2 Apr 2010 18:05 The best miracle is something impossible happening. How about an amputees legs growing back? No one has claimed new legs or arms.. It's not a miracle when someone pops two aspirins and the headache goes away. It's not a miracle when someone recovers from cancer. It's not a miracle when someone wins the lottery. It's not a miracle when someone wins the lottery on their wedding day. The about list is probable but in declining probability. I could be caught saying it's a miracle we're not dead yet from another asteroid collision. But here I try to make a mockery of the word miracle. -- D from BC British Columbia

Correction Not 'about list'.... The 'above list'.

I'll see if I can find something on the Cuk down converters. I'm wanting something similar to this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html or these http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/eos/ Except with 4 outputs, probably multiplexed, and more computer ability (more program memory and data storage memory). I would like to keep track of how many times a battery was charged, the capacity over time, recommend when to test battery capacity, age, etc. for each battery pack the user wants to keep data on. The user could keep track of the life of the batteries and see if the cheaper packs save money, plus possibly predict likely battery failure before crashing an expensive model aircraft. Actually I want to make it open source so features can be added and new charge algorithms can be implemented for new battery technology, etc. The multi port multiplexing is great when you need to maintain multiple batteries without having to swap them out all the time.
