No, just remembering the correct definition of the words "fact" and
"belief."

Occam's is a very reasonable basis upon which to form a belief, but
odds (no matter how high) are not proof.

Nor is there any evidence that points the other direction. Lack of proof
makes it, by definition, a question of faith rather than facts.

That difference is *precisely* what I'm talking about. What Ian happens
to believe, and whether or not I agree with it, is immaterial. I'm simply
arguing against the use of the word "fact" to describe something that
has not been proven one way or another.
